Description:
Aspartame, derived from two amino acids, L-aspartic acid and L-phenylalanine, is a white, odorless, crystalline powder with a sweet, intense taste. It is approximately 200 times sweeter than sugar and sparingly soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol.

Applications:
Sweetener, sugar substitute, and flavor enhancer. Used in tabletop sweeteners, beverages, dairy, confectionery, desserts and pharmaceutical preparations. This product has also been approved by the FAO/WHO’s committee on food additives, and is now used worldwide; ADI has been set at 40mg/kg of body weight.
