Description:
A colorless or yellowish liquid with a characteristic sour odor. It is soluble in water and is produced by fermentation using starches as raw materials.
Applications:
1. pH adjusting or correcting agent in food (such as bakery, cheese, olives, pickles and relishes, salad dressing), pharmaceutical, wine and other industries.
2. Microbial control, due to its bactericidal and fungicidal enhancing properties. This can help increase the shelf-life of products without altering the composition. It can improve colour and taste, while adjusting the pH in a positive manner to reduce microbial growth.
3. Flavor agent, due to it’s mild sourness, it is commonly added to improve a product’s flavour naturally.
Packing and Storage:
250 kg plastic drums or 1200kg IBC. Store in a cool, dry condition with tight seal.
